Cavatappi Pasta With Sausage & Rosé Cream Sauce



Great recipe for any occasion anytime of day.. Cavatappi in Italian means corkscrews. It's a twirl shaped pasta with a hole in the middle.. This meal is easy to prepare and tends to be a favorite amongst kids. I actually make this dish with any good quality sausage.. My kids love it with hot dogs!

Cavatappi Pasta With Sausage Recipe Ingredients

  • Cavatappi Pasta
  • Italian Sausage
  • 1 Cup Heavy Cream (Whip Cream)
  • 1 Small Can of Tomatoes (Can be diced, or whole)  
  • Pepper
  • Paprika
  • Shredded or Grated Parmesan

How To Make This Pasta & Sausage Recipe:

1. Fill 3/4 of a pot of water and add three pinches of salt.. When it comes to a boil throw in the cavattapi pasta and let boil for about 10 to 15 minutes. When cooked drain the pasta in a colander and let it sit until you make the sauce with the sausage.

2. Cut your desired amount of sausage into little pieces and fry them slowly in a non stick pan, you can add a little olive oil however the sausage will sweat it's own oil when cooking. (You can buy any sausage labeled "Italian Sausage" at your local grocery store.)

3. Once the sausage is cooked add a small can of tomatoes with a table spoon of paprika, a pinch of salt and pepper. Add one cup of cream and stir until it's well mixed and the sauce becomes rosé.

4. Now take the Cavatappi pasta you cooked and put desired amount with the sauce pan and mix it slowly. Add shredded or grated parmesan and you are done. Congratulations you did it! Enjoy this delicious meal with your family!
